Once your outside don't skip the hills. Try running on a variety of terrain, this will be the first element that will enhance your training. Then add in burst of sprints, wide hops and jumps. You can time your sprints how ever you see hit, the easiest being 30 second intervals. For the ultimate insertion try adding pulls ups, push ups, squat thrusts and sprawls in the middle of your run. Just stop, do twenty squat thrusts and then keep running. This will definitely enhance that Rocky run.

Use a Medicine Ball: Hey guys, get yourself one of these and watch the fine little muscles in your fingers, writs and forearms gain strength in just several workouts. Try starting with an eight pound ball. Basically all you have to do is play catch with one hand. Throw the ball up and down catching it with one hand. This will work your wrist, fingers and grip - you will be sore. Just twenty each arm, several times a week will do the trick.
